EDAG. the world's leading independent engineering company in the automotive industry, opened its new office in Shanghai (Shenkun Road, Minhang District) on 9 October. 

The EDAG China subsidiary is now situated at a new, central location in Shanghai. The office, which has excellent transport connections, measures 1,800 square metres and provides ideal working conditions for our engineering specialists in Shanghai. EDAG China has been providing comprehensive engineering services in vehicle and production plant development and in the E/E environment for the Chinese and international mobility industry for over 15 years now. In addition to the site in Shanghai, EDAG China has additional customer-oriented locations in Beijing and Guangzhou, and employs over 300 experienced and highly skilled engineering experts for the Chinese market.

"What is more, our customers in China will, of course, have access to our global site network with a workforce of more than 8,600 employees to supervise and manage major projects internationally," ex-plains Wu Zhongwen, CEO of EDAG China. " Besides other OEM customers we are proud of the fact that we are currently developing 3 electric vehicles (BEVs) as the prime engineering contractor for a Chi-nese OEM. This project is the ideal way for us to demonstrate our local presence combined with the power and experience of the EDAG Group's global engineering network."

The EDAG Group will be continuing to expand its activities in China. In addition to the growth in person-nel, EDAG China will in future also be expanding its service portfolio to include the future-oriented topics of software and digitalisation.
